Surround by forested mountains, and nestled in the rich agricultural valley combined withSalmon Arm’s hot-dry-climate , it is ideal for growing grapes, and visitors are discovering the many vineyards and wineries developing in the area.  A wide variety of culinary choices from casual to fine dining can be found downtown Salmon Arm…which is also rich in culture and arts, offering many private galleries and live music venues.  One of the more famous being, the annual Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival.

Sicamous boasts a strong lake culture as it is nestled on the banks of the Eagle River where Shuswap Lake joins Mara Lake. It is known as the ‘The houseboat capital of Canada!’. During spring, summer and fall, Sicamous is the entry point to fill the lakes with hundreds of houseboats. When the winter comes, Sicamous offers thrilling outdoor adventure in the Monashee Mountains that surround the community – from snowmobiling, cross country skiing, to dog sledding. Plus, world class heli-skiing, downhill skiing and boarding are just 1.5 hours away in Revelstoke! With so many recreational opportunities, visitors flock to the area year round, adding to the small resident population of approximately 2700 people.
